My husband was watching this Aneme called "ghost in the shell" and he called me over to see an animation of someone folding a crane one handed, so I tried it and it totally works, not sure if its exactly like in the animation, but I thought it was neat and wanted to share.

Re: Ghost in the shell
05/26I will be honest.
I used a shortcut and ended up with the pattern on the inside.
Also, while I was very focussed and got it to the point where the wings are created, I set it aside for a while. When I returned, I instinctively finished it up, forgetting about the one hand rule.
I will try it again when I have a larger block of time.
I am right-handed so I was thinking it might be more of a challenge if I use my left hand. Perhaps one could do two at the same time? Or even blind-folded! -

Re: Ghost in the shell
05/27I'm right handed and used my left, I dont know if that helped or hurt. In the cartoon he used his mouth to open it, so thats what I did, but that was the only part. The part after ithe wings is the hardest but its not impossible, My "beak" ended up a little weird. I was wondering about the two at the same time thing too.

Origami w/ one hand.
07/14When I broke my right hand, I became better at one handed origami.
But, hey if you think that's hard, try it with one foot !
